The Company
Founded in 1927 in Bermondsey making medical devices, the company has continually expanded and evolved for the best part of 100 years. The factory moved to Enfield in 1945, then to Harlow in 2006 where it expanded again, adding the adjacent unit in 2011.
With ongoing and continued investment in the latest plant machinery and technology, Needs Ltd has impressive production versatility, being able to work in a diverse range of materials across its divisions.
The knowledge, skills and experience gained over the company’s long and proud trading history means that the Needs Ltd of today offers first-class technical expertise coupled with using the best products and excellent customer service.

Sustainability Roadmap
Sustainable working practices are at the heart of everything we do and we are continually striving to support the concept of a circular economy. For instance, our vehicle fleet is predominantly electric-powered, we have invested in harvesting and utilising our waste materials and promote the use of natural resources.
We are ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified and only purchase our wood from FSC® certified sources. We maintain a chain of custody for other purchased raw materials not governed by official organisations and our sustainability roadmap is geared towards obtaining ISO 14001.
